“Is it Time to Surrender to Your Situation?” was originally published at Raise Your Vibration Today.

When the shit really hits the fan, and it feels like you’re fighting a losing battle, I’ve found that the best thing you can do is just surrender to your situation.

So often, we believe we have to “fight” against what is. We need to prove our point, we need to push past the pain, we need to make things work even though they aren’t working.

Unfortunately, though, fighting against a problem like this only keeps the battle going, thanks to the Law of Attraction. You only get more of whatever you choose to fight against.

Fighting against your situation usually backfires…

For example, have you ever been injured but instead of taking it easy, you pushed ahead? How did that work out for you?

Or perhaps were you ever really mad at your friend, but instead of letting it go you took a few jabs to get even? How did that play out in your relationship?

Sometimes, the best thing you can do in life is call a spade a spade and just give up the control.

How to surrender to your situation

So if you’ve been fighting an illness or an injury but it’s gotten to the point where you are frustrated and overwhelmed, it’s time to surrender to your situation.

Relax, take it easy and do your best to make peace with what is for now. It’s here for now, so let it be what it is without amplifying your anxiety over it. Staying cool, after all, is necessary for recovery!

Having serious problems in your marriage? Accept them for now for your own sake of sanity!

Allow them to be what they are without judging them and compulsively trying to “fix” them. Let it be ok that things aren’t exactly where you want them to be yet. Once you’ve fully relaxed about the state of your marriage, the right solutions will become evident to you.

The point here is, if your situation feels “out of control” it’s time to just relax and let it pan out. Stop fighting against it, because it is the fight that is actually amplifying the problem.

Surrender and the Law of Attraction work hand in hand

See, the momentum of the Law of Attraction is a lot like a big snowball rolling down hill. If you catch a problem quickly before it gets too far down the hill, it’s pretty easy to push it back up the hill with a little positive thinking or intention.

However, if a problem has already rolled halfway down the hill, it’s going to be a lot harder to stop it and push it back up.

At this point, it’s best to just step out of the way and let the snowball finish its ride down the hill. It’s just moving too fast at this point to comfortably redirect it.

Don’t worry, though, the snowball will slow down when it’s finished its ride down the hill. All you have to do is get out of the way and let it all pan out.

Let the snowball pass on by for now

Relax, and surrender to your situation. This will allow you to release whatever resistance you are holding on to that is keeping you stuck on the hill trying to hold back the momentum. Your refusal to block the snowball will allow it to come to the end of it’s journey as quickly as possible.

There will be a time in the near future when you have resolved whatever issue this is. Right now, just ride out the storm as best you can in a state of peace and acceptance. Stay cool about it and I promise you will come out of this OK.
