The author of this article, Catherine often finds herself “in a constant battle between wanting to be more productive and wanting to lay in bed all day.” In December, she created a survey for her readers and asked them to describe how their perfect morning would look like. The answers to this survey revealed to her that everyone has an idea of what their perfect morning would look like, but certain factors such as lack of energy, often get in the way of making it a reality.

Catherine created an exercise for her readers to help them make their mornings more productive and enjoyable. Her exercise was to take a second to imagine yourself living out the most perfect morning of your life and ask yourself the following questions:

  • What would you do if you had all the time in the world?
  • How would you want to feel in the morning?
  • What would you change about your morning today?

The purpose of this exercise is to expose your values and the things that are important to you, which ultimately can give you a better sense of how you want to spend your life.
