You close your eyes, expecting to fall asleep, but never do. When you’re not sleeping well, it’s hard to tackle the challenges of everyday life simply due to a lack of energy. If you’re one who struggles to fall asleep and stay asleep, you might want to try out some banana tea, because why not? If it means getting a good night’s rest and a productive following day, it’s more than worth it.
Why does it work?
Bananas (and especially banana peels) are chock-full of potassium and magnesium. When these two powerful substances combine, they can help prevent restless nights through increased muscle relaxation.
Before you try this, you’re going to want 100 percent organic bananas. If they are not organic, you will be boiling a peel that is coated in toxic pesticides. So, you have to use organic. The recipe is quick, taking just 10 minutes to complete.
What you need
To start, you’ll need at least one organic banana, one small pot of water, and if you’d like a bit of extra flavor, you can add some cinnamon.
Now, slice off either end of your banana and place the banana and peel into your boiling water. Let it boil for about 10 minutes. Then, using a colander for filtration, pour the boiled liquid into a mug. Let it cool a little bit, and enjoy.
Once you’ve finished your drink, you can eat the boiled banana and its peel to help increase the effects of your tea.
