In this day and age, it almost seems impossible to get away from the noise of everyday life. And what’s funny is we even go towards noise to get away from the noise! What I mean is, we might throw on our headphones and jam some Led Zeppelin to drown out the noise of the guys outside throwing screaming trees into a chipping machine. You get the idea…

So, why are some sounds “pleasant” and others just not-so-much? And why do some sounds appeal to one crowd and yet appall another? And furthermore, why can some sounds even be used as weapons while others are so gentle and calm they can lull babies to sleep? Well, big surprise for my regular readers here, but it all comes back to energy. 🙂 Well, more so pertaining directly to frequency or vibration and resonance. The size of the wave, people. And basically what the wave is attracted to!

Places in nature naturally carry high vibrations which are healing and vitalizing to the Soul. This is because trees and plants are biologically connected to Mother Earth and speak to one another (and us if we stop to listen) via Spirit (life-force) energy or “Mana”. Think Avatar, if you will. This is why being in nature aptly and immediately reduces stress and anxiety. It also helps quite a bit to be away from all of the Wi-Fi and microwaves that we are constantly bombarded by living in cities.

Back to resonance and frequency/vibration…

I always thought it was so funny when you’d see on some random sitcom the cranky grandmother yelling at the kid to “turn that crap down!” and then goes on to tell a long drawn out story about how music today is horrible and nothing like it was when she was growing up.

Doesn’t every single generation feel this way about the next, though? I know that I do! Only I guess I’m weird (no surprise) because my favorite music is actually from the 60‘s. Anyway, the point is that we all are drawn to that which we are tuned into;
