When you set out to make plans or set your intentions, you tend to leave little to no room for spontaneity and find that you’ve become a master at creating “itineraries for life.” And yet, no matter how many times life gives you so pretty awesome reasons to let go and be okay with straying from your little itineraries, you always seem to find a way to sneak them in. And you know what? I’m kinda tired of all the stress that comes along with trying to maintain that amount of control, aren’t you?

It’s always a good idea plan for the future, absolutely. But life has proven to me time and time again that it strives in balance and will always return to such, as long as you don’t get in the way. And when we hold on or cling to life through the various ways we try desperately to control things, then we are literally planting ourselves right in the middle of the road, refusing to move and eventually life will create a current strong enough to get us up and going again.

What this has taught me is to find the middle ground in situations, as difficult as the Capricorn perfectionist in me finds that to be sometimes, and ride each situation with balance. Go in with a game plan, but be open to change and shifts in that plan along the way. I’ve come to learn that it’s not always how well you stick to your plan necessarily, but how well you deal with unexpected changes that come along after implementing that plan. Perhaps the most important one I’ve learned thus far is to just keep moving; don’t stop. Because stopping is the only thing that ever guarantees failure in life. No matter how many times you fall, you always have the choice to get back up again.

And every time that you do choose to get back up, to keep going you are literally strengthening your muscle of integrity and letting yourself know you can count on YOU to be there for yourself.

Read More HERE

About the Author

Tamara Rant is a Co-Editor/Writer for CLN as well as a Licensed Reiki Master, heart-centered Graphic Designer and a progressive voice in social media activism & awareness.
